  • Blockbuster Online Rental - going bad

What is going on at Blockbuster? I've had their online mail service since it started. Never had a problem getting New Release bluerays in past years.

Now, I haven't been able to get a New Release blueray in a weeks. All of 2012 has been a problem. They're service is degrading fast. Damn it!

Anyone else notice things getting worse? How is Netflix holding up with new release bluerays? I'm ready to try something else.

I've got about 20 semi-new movies in my queue, and the best status I have is "short wait" - most are "long wait though. I've been with them since the start, but with the slow down, and the closing of the 2 closest stores to me, I'm about to cancel.

If you haven't done it yet, if you go in to cancel the account, you will get a few bucks off your monthly rate as an incentive to stay.

They're in trouble. They're closing a shit ton of stores this year (taking the total number worldwide to ~800, as opposed to ~8,000 ten years ago), and moving out of Dallas to Denver. I would imagine that DirecTV will dissolve the company entirely in the next year or two, possibly only keeping the name "Blockbuster" for on-demand service.
How do we forget ourselves? How do we forget our minds?
