    I'm actually not surprised its the final season. Must have not done so well since the passing of Andy Whittfield. I still have not seen season 2.

      I don't think it's that.

      SPOILER ALERT!!!!!!:

      For people that haven't seen the original Spartacus movie, he dies. From what I remember, this series was made to elaborate on that story. With how well Gods of the Arena did though, I wouldn't be surprised to see a spin-off.

        I'd definitely watch a series with Gannicus.

        Even with Spartacus dying I'm still surprised the show only lasted 3 seasons.
