New TOOL album is finally underway.

I'm about sick and tired of these motherfucking antics.

While Tool‘s rather verbose November newsletter led many to the conclusion that Tool were in the studio with Joe Barresi, it turns out that’s not entirely true. As was cautiously posted before, the newsletter only confirmed that members of the band had been in the studio with Barresi; with Tool material being directly specified much later.
A key revision to said newsletter over at Toolband.com has since revealed that the recordings in question were in fact for Tool drummer Danny Carey‘s side project VOLTO! and not Tool. Yep, bummer.

Not supporting them until they release another album, and even then, I'll be on the fence. Hell, by the time they get around to releasing any new material, I probably won't give two shits about them.

I would think that a tour right now is going to mean a new song or two will be previewed. Composition wise, they're the best band out there.
