Actually saw Real Steel last night.

Thought it was actually a damn good flick. Good action, some moments that make you laugh, and turned out to leave you with a smile.

Awesome, my first impression has been confirmed then. Sad that Micheal Bay had to go ahead and say "Fuck You" to all the kids out there wanting to see the recent Transformers by making it rated R. Glad to see others are capable of achieving a good action flick while still making it family friendly.

ya, people where actually clapping at the end. I personally find it ridiculous when people do that, but it does show that it was a hit I guess.
We decided that we are buying it as soon as it hits blue ray.

Ah, you're right. Still, little too much for the children who wanted to go see it. From reading online quite a few parents were pissed that their seven year old (who liked and enjoyed the first ones) were now picking up and using grammar used in the movie. That shit was like crack to kids.

And movie ratings are bullshit anyways... those lines are always changing.

i'm ok with it being more "adult'ish." it's based on cartoons from the early 80's. The people who should be wanting to see it the most should be adults.

Any less violence and adult theme, and the movies would have a shitty story AND shitty action.

Yeah the ending was like "wtf, that's it??". So did anyone else feel like the sparring robot actually understood the kid?? Everyone at the theatre I was at clapped also; me and my son and two nephews did too. It was a good movie.

That's why it was PG-13 which means "Parents! Use your fucking heads! If your kid is under 13, you might not want them to see this movie!"

I can't stand parents who always blame other people for their own shortcomings. The new Transformers was rated appropriately for it's content.
