Definitely the best cinematography of any Bond movie. It does have a lot less action. I think part of my problem may have been the length. This sucker is 2 hours and 20 minutes long, which is a little long for an action movie. And the main villain didn't show up until over an HOUR had passed. I enjoyed it a lot more the second time, without having expectations.
My issue is the way they're shooting the sequences now, which is the same way that all Hollywood action sequences are being filmed: put Michael J. Fox behind every camera, do as many jump cuts as you can, and make it difficult for anyone to see what's actually going on so it looks really intense. It was interesting when it was first done in the Bourne Identity 10 years ago, but now it's really worn the fuck out, uninteresting, uninspired, and unoriginal. I'd like to see what's going on in an action sequence again, please.
Still a really good film, has me excited for the next installment.

That isn't a terrible idea. I love Owen as an actor, but he is always in shitty movies.
