  • Why didn't I switch from Uverse to DirecTv sooner?

Better picture quality, better channel line-up, cheaper monthly cost, and more HD channels. Only drawback is that the non DVR HD boxes have HDMI but not optical(toslink) audio out.

Anyone on the fence about switching I would highly recommend doing so. The picture quality difference alone is worth the switch, not to mention you don't have the audio to video sync problems associated with any lag in bandwidth that the Uverse does, and with the new setups you are no longer required to have a phone line hooked up to each box as long as you have a LAN(internet) connection hooked up at the splitter location.

All in all I am very happy we switched and very stoked to watch the Cowboys game tonight on my 58" plasma with DirecTv

Wish I could have given you my account # to say I referred you. We both would have gotten $100.

I can't wait to go back on Dish. I switched to direct because Dish refused to give me upgraded equipment with new member benefits to extend my contract.

Bwahahahahha my father in law siwtched from direct to dish back to direct. I have had dish and still would go direct!

BTW I combo'ed it with my existing AT&T so no referrals were accepted. I have plenty of people I could've used as referral if so.

eh, I sure don't miss the interruptions in storms,. Screwed up DVR recordings etc. Never had any issues you mention with U-verse except the price. It does suck

I have direct tv and I like it. Downside is the interruption in storms and also snow storms cause snow will get on the dish itself.

Our service in 3 years was nothing to brag about with Uverse. And their customer service and tech support blows!

So go dish instead of Direct?

My neighborhood is less than 10 years old so I am thinking it has a lot to do with the cable / fiber in that area. My cost blows though and I am about to call em and threaten to leave again.

6 year old neighborhood with fiber to the premises(house) and it still was nothing to call home about

What do you mean you "combo'ed" it with AT&T, I have UVERSE internet right now but dropped all the TV stuff months ago.

Combined my billing to get a discount. My DirecTv and internet are both billed to me by AT&T
