After watching Torchwood, it kinda raised my interest in Dr Who.. anyone watch it? i wonder how far back you need to go to really have an understanding of whats going on now? it seems like a good series as i really liked torchwood.

I used to watch Dr. Who 20+ yrs ago when I lived in England. I've seen a few of the newer seasons but haven't watched it enough to keep up with the story.
If you have netflix, it looks like they've got the newer seasons available.. -

Based on what I've heard, of the modern seasons, David Tennant is one of the best Doctors. But I've also heard that the one season with Christopher Eccleston (bad guy from Gone In 60 Seconds) is really good too.Comment

Yes, Amy Pond is smoking and until her I didn't like any of the other companions. I started watching when Ecleson was the Doctor and liked Tennant, but Smith is growing on me. I LOVE the freaking Tardis.
