The guy didn't do EVERYTHING right, but I'm glad he helped keep the world from going to shit when it was a large possibility. We had the right guy in at the right time.
When my brother came home the first time, we were told they would be there but sadly it did not happen (he was president at the time). My mom has several clients in DFW who manage/handle fund raisers, I have been begging her to see if President Bush would ever grace one with his presence.
People can rag on him all they want, it bothers me to some degree but it scares me of what "could" have happened had he not been in office.

(edit) My mom did manage to score me a seat at an AHA fund raiser where I sat with Tony Dorsett (who was a jackass btw), Dat Nguyen, and a few other guys I didn't care to meet.

      I'm officially jelly

President Bush, does seem like he is the most easy going person ever. I'd like to think that meeting him would be like hanging out with Hank Hill or something. (I love King of the Hill)

I enjoyed it thoroughly. I made the mistake of watching the Saddam Hussein special afterwards and it was sickening. That motherfucker got off easy by being hung. He should have been tortured for years.

Yes. A GREAT book. He is a mans man, and a man with principles and with conviction. He will go down in history as a great president after all's said and done.

I just finished watching it on youtube. Very good documentary that reminds me why I joined the military. At the same time it kills me to see how far downhill the US has gone since then.

I finally got around to watching this. It was definitely a great interview. I wish he could be president again. He has a hell of a lot more class and dedication to his country than this clown now.

I'll bet there were more than that around, you just saw two of them.

I watched this last night, have to admit I really liked it and him telling it from his point of view. On how he felt about the attacks but also how he acted on that day and the week after 9/11. To see how he was able to control his emotions and thoughts and stay calm when everyone else was panicing.
