The movie had some definite inconsistencies. Unless the girls at some point were brainwashed to forget all of the crazy shit that happened in this one it doesn't really add up. That being said, there were some definite creepy parts. I did notice that none of the clips in the previews were in the actual movie.

Gargamel's Review.... So please ignore at your leisure...

Smurfette and I saw it at a matinee yesterday.

If you're into the series, give it 3 out of 5 stars. In other words, better than the first, not as good as the second.

If your not into the series, wait for video.

There were several plot holes (although some can be explained if you paid attention to the first 2 installments...), and as has been said earlier, shit that was in the previews but not in the movie.... In fact, I dare say some of the scenes were SO different that I suspect that there may have been a total re-editing at some point.

Smurfette liked it more than I did, but It's harder for me to get creeped out and fucking plot holes tend to distract me from a movie....

There were a few true "holy shit" moments, the characters were well "fleshed" out and you could relate to them easily. Like the first 2, I think the director kept increasing the "dread" factor well as the movie went on...

Other than the plot holes, another annoying factor was the ease of which Smurfette and I correctly predicted fine details of the big "reveal" at the end, which was also not quite as chilling as expected... kind of a letdown actually... (nothing like the complete demon ownage depicted in the second movie)

Overall, it was a decently scary flick if you like the series and can see it at a matinee price... other than that, wait for the redbox.
