Another remake? Why bring this one back? It doesn't have a huge following, but it was a damn good movie.

The only parts in the preview that look decent are the parts that are extremely similar to the original, which was super badass. The new shit looks cheesy.

A remake of a remake? The original was made in '51, and Carpenter redid it in '82.

It's not exactly a remake, it's what happens before the John Carpenter Thing when they first discover the alien aircraft. Forgot where I read it but the IMDB description is pretty vague.

I am mixed on the new Thing. I liked the 82 version, but it did have the 80's cheesyness to it. Could be good if done right.
