Clear Internet Speed

I just canceled ATT because their cable sucked ass. It always froze especially on games and movies, but the internet service was kick ass. We ended up canceling the service to get clear and clear is sucking MAJOR ASS right now.

Does this sound right 1.74 download and 0.10 upload. I cant even play call of duty anymore because my connection sucks so bad. Whats is your speed with Clear?

Sounds on par with most I've read. Hunt is the only person I've seen get decent speeds.

I used to have it. It wasn't only bad, it was so inconsistent it would go from bad, to horrible by the second, plus it kept disconnecting. CoD and basically any online game was unplayable.

Should have kept your internet from ATT and just found another solution for your cable. We have Clear at the office and it sucks, very inconsistent. One of my guys was actually on the phone with them raising hell today because they advertise 10 down and we average between 1-2 down also their packet loss/retransmission rates are horrendous - all of which would cause online game play to suffer.

Looked into them last week when I got a job offer. A guy I know who is an ex-employee said the return rate is extremely high and the service is very hit or miss. I just got Sprint and am using my EVO to tether which is on the same wimax network as clear. Upstairs I get 4G and I get about 6mb download rates when I usb tether and about 2mb when I wifi tether. 3G usb tether speeds are about .9mb and I didn't bother testing 3G wifi speeds. I would be pissed if I was paying $35+ for clear internet but seeing how I am paying nothing extra through sprint it doesn't bother me.

Are you getting a good 4G signal? If so you should be fine to play PS3..

Time Warner. Internet is fine, but the television service sucks. That's all that's offered where I live now, though.

Time Warner is a bunch of cock sucking ass goblins IMO. There is a long back story to this but I do not care to explain but the TLDR is they never admit to having an issue and their first assumption is that it is your personal equipment, i.e. your router, that is causing the issue.

Verizon's LTE is very fast if you can get it and need wireless access. In downtown Fort Worth I see 12 megs both directions right now. I'm not playing games through the connection though so I don't know how it'd ping out on COD. I'm sure it'll start to slow down once they get all the Iphone customers on it and a few more phones but right now it's great.
