  • Anyway to recover wallpaper photo?

As a joke I replaced someones wallpaper with another picture. He wanted the old picture back and he doesnt have it saved. Is the picture still saved somewhere else in the computer? This is on a windows & machine

I dunno. I do that all the time to people that don't lock their comps at work. But I always make sure I can put the old pic back up so I can't help. LOL

You might want to check the wallpaper options list and see if it is still in there.

It was supposed to be a dang joke but this guy is all pissed off. it was a picture of his kid that he liked but for some reason he never saved it to anything other than his desktop. Kind of dumb since if the computer crashed he'd loose it anyway but oh well.
Hopefully I can recover it some how but who knows.

If it's Windows 7, you can right click on the desktop and select Personalize. You'll see the previous couple of wallpapers under themes. You should be able to select a previous theme and you're done.

You could also go to Windows Restore and select a restore point with a date prior to when you made the change.

If you replaced the photo with another, like copy over, then your best bet is a restore point or his last backup. How did he get the photo on the PC to begin with???
