  • Just bought a Motorola Atrix

actually bought the last 2 at Car Toys in Arlington. The were giving away an extra $175 mail in rebate so the phones are only going to cost me a total of $50 for both.

The phone is awesome, it does everything my iPhone did and more and it does it much faster.

Anyone else pick up one of these yet?

I've had one for a few weeks and have no complaints. Just takes a little more thought than an iphone.

had one and took it back and went back to my Nexus One that is approx twice as fast. The phone itself is decent for a motorola but fauxG is a joke.

Twice as fast in what instance? G4 did a side by side comparison with two other phones, the Evo and the iphone4 and completely blew the iphone out of the water and was significantly faster than the Evo. I didn't think that the nexus one was supposed to be all that fast. They did complain about AT&T's crappy 4g network not being any faster than 3g though.

Thats what I mean. My download speeds on 4G was the same as my Nexus One on 3G but upload speed was .25-.30mbs on the Atrix and 1.5-1.8mbs on my N1. Most dont think upload speeds matter much but it was horrible. The deal breaker for me is the Atrix is NOT LTE compatible so your locking yourself in for 18 months till your next upgrade when LTE is supposed to roll out at the end of the year or early '12.

As far as the phone speed itself, the Atrix was faster but other than playing Dungeon Defenders I couldnt tell a difference. My N1 seems to be just as quick as the Atrix in every other regard. Only things I had to give up was a larger screen and fingerprint reader.
