What are the max speeds for these units now-a-days?

My tower is black and my drives are silver. So, i'm thinking of buying some black ones soon. Which is what brought me to ask this question. TIA.

What's dual layer? Both sides of the cd? If that's the case than neither. Sorry about earlier my son turned down the ringer on my phone and didn't know you called till after 5. My bad.

I have one of these and it works great. You can't beat the price, just make sure you have plenty SATA headers and cables as well as plugs on your PSU for SATA.
