My router has to be in the office so I lose signal strength throughout the rest of the house.
Anyone have any real world solutions?

My neighbor across the street is also a family member and I've been using their wifi for about 5 years now.
I use the Netgear Nigthhawk X4 wifi range extender (paid ~$135 iirc) and love it. I have had it for about a year now
I had a cheap $35 netgear range extender previously and had to unplug then plug it back in again every 30 days otherwise the wifi would slowly creep to an unbearably slow pace
The new rage now are the wifi mesh systems. Instead of just one plug in device you get like 3 in a kit and place them around different areas of the house.
I've a got a Netgear Nighthawk downstairs, hardwired to the ATT unit, primarily to extend signal to the backyard. The same Nighthawk used to be the sole WIFI, and did fine covering all 4k interior sqft from my office upstairs.
You can spend more, but a good router covers a pretty sizable area.

I have an AT&T router that sucks, its in the office at the front of the house and as son as I leave that room, it sucks, bad enough to piss me off.
That Orbi seems to have some great reviews, I may buy it.

I fucking hated spectrum when I used their Wifi combo box. If I wasn’t in the same room the router was, my shit sucked. Bought a Netgear nighthawk on Black Friday a couple years ago and the signal strength has been much better

I have the AT&T router. My router is plugged in next to it. I have an access point in the garage and another in my office. I basically built my own mesh system. It works great.
