Looking for a laptop

I'm looking to buy a laptop for my cousin for school. I want to spend around 300 or so.

Last black Friday I bought a HP G60 at WalMart for $300 which had 3GB of RAM, Windows 7 & a 250GB HD.

I'm not finding anything out there close to that now. I've only looked at WM and newegg.com

So, where are the good deals at?

I'm not sure what Dell typically has but I'd think unless you're buying a laptop that's a good 3 or more years old you'll be limited to netbooks for that price... at least on new computers.

Those seem to be the keywords there. Net books are about all you'll find at that price point right now unless you want to pick up a used laptop.

Newegg sells a lot of Dell refurbs, but in that price range they are shipped with XP and only 1GB of RAM.

Stupid Newgg raised the price of this laptop from 349 to 399 yesterday, and will not match the old price. F them.

I found this HP G62 at Frys, and it's a better deal. 320 GB drive, Win7, 3GB of RAM & a built in webcam for $349 after rebate. I think I'm gonna pick one of these up. http://www.frys.com/product/6401252?...H:MAIN_RSLT_PG
