Me: Hey this looks pretty good, that graphic of a guy holding a bigass sword on the cover looks sweet! I cant wait to get home and play this

All the characters had great backgrounds and interesting stories. Once squaresoft became square-enix the storylines were very shitty. I loved ff7 but imo ff3(us version) is the greatest final fantasy in the whole series.
Someone stole FF3 from me back then as well as Chrono Trigger which was also awesome IMO. I think I still have FF8, 9, 10, 11, and 13.
I agree 13 was very linear, too guided and not as good as it should've been because of that. Never actually played 11, purchased, got home and realized it was online only and said screw it.

This is old news I saw a couple on ebay about 1yr-2yrs ago and it was going for $110. IMO 7 is the best rpg, next to that on my list would be ff9 I didn't like 8 very much. I still have my ff7 disc unfortunately it is a greatest hits copy and the discs aren't in the best condition. (still works though)
