My wife is moving into her own building for her practice and needs some stuff for the assistant. She has tasked me with finding a good deal on a computer, monitor, kb and mouse. What do yall think about this little set up?

Well, on one hand, I have confirmed I am not a robot. On the other, your shopping cart is empty

Imo, if you're wanting a pre-built pc, the PowerSpec boxes that Microcenter sells(their house brand) are about the best value around right now. If you haven't looked at em, do yourself a favor and check em out.

Edit:Hell, they seem to have become rather proud of them. They used to be very reasonably priced, maybe check their ad deals.

Why not a laptop? Saves you from needing a backup battery and it includes everything you need. Then she can buy her own external mouse if necessary (it is).

You can get a 15" Dell with an I-3 processor and windows 10 for under $300.00. Brand new with a warranty and tech support.

This.. I had a computer for my business, then switched to my laptop for business news. More convenient for me to use. At times i had to run back to the shop to do paper work, and now i can easily do it from home.
I also have an external hard-drive that i store all my docs & pics so it doesn't slow down my laptop.

I have an i5 processor and works great. Im sure an i3 would have done the job for what i use it for.

I bought an Inspiron I559 for work, way overkill. All I really run is office 365 and gotomypc which hits my office PC. Yeah I should have gone with the $300 cheapie.

Heck I could pretty easily work from a tablet and in fact I have one for a backup with a docking station that supports multiple monitors.

My wife is an attorney and she will be hiring a paralegal to help out and pretty much all this PC will need is access to the internet at a reasonable speed and accessing documents and office.

What is the difference between a "business" computer and regular "desktop" computer?

The speed at which it processes TPS reports, and the amount of porn it can handle.

                            Link to that hard drive.
