Streaming from an Ipad which device is better?

I have netflix amazon and xfinity on demand on the ipad so i do not really need another streaming device, just something to stream through.

Can chromecast work to do this? Download the chromecast app and it will stream to the cast hooked up to the TV? Or is there a better option? Really just looking for the cheapest way to do this and want it to be wireless, chromecast cheaper than apple TV i know!

Is your TV wifi enabled? Should be able to use airplay from device to broadcast through TV
