External HD

I want to get an external HD to back up my point of sale system than has 2 HD in a Raid 1 config. Since the drives mirror each other any external drive should work?

RAID won't affect your choice of external hard drive.

Yeah, any external drive should do the trick - and be fairly easy especially if a Windows based POS...

...size it so that you can keep an archive of backups as well. RAID 1 is great, but it also mirrors any corruption that happens. If you do daily backups and archive them, you maybe able to restore to data before a problem happened as opposed to just trying to restore junk data.
