I don't know the difference on intel so forgive me, but what is the K after the numbers and is it better or worse ?

K is unlocked for overclocking. You have ddr3 ram you are reusing?

You'll need ram with that, your old ram won't work with that. The K designation is for an unlocked multiplier meaning overclockable.

Lol, ok so I have never done this where ive backed up any of my programs and files when ive changed mobo and proc. I have always just reformatted the hard drive and started fresh.

I really don't want to do that, so what do I do to back up my windows 7 info so when I go to reinstall windows I can just run the back up and everything is back to how I had it?

You'll have to install and use a program to migrate it. Iirc, Acronis True Image will do that.

Any free programs that can image it?

I've not used this, but I guess you could try, just make an image to another drive first to mitigate loss potential.http://www.easeus.com/pc-transfer/fr...indows8-7.html

Well I have been impatiently waiting on my 16gb sticks of ram to show up when I put this order in on the 13th of April and it STILL HASNT ARRIVED, but my mobo and cpu came in on Sunday. I decided to get everything ready and wait for the flipping ram to get here...im getting excited about turning it on lol
