  • Popping Sbcglobal/yahoo into Outlook 2007

I've googled for a couple of hours on this to no avail. I can receive emails, but cannot send. It says server not found - error 0x800CCC0d.

It appears the STMP outgoing port number is the issue. 25 is default. Yahoo says to use 465. Multiple answers say if 465 doesn't work to use 587 and it will solve the problem. It appears to fix everyone's except mine because that's the last number on all the help sites. I've found other ISPs using 26, 110, 995 (same as incoming), but none work. Any other ideas before I start at 1 and work my way up?

don't you have to pay to get yahoo access outside of webmail?
You can use Outlook with many Yahoo! Mail e-mail accounts. However, free Web browser-based Yahoo! Mail accounts based in China, Taiwan, or the United States can only be used in Outlook if you have a paid subscription Yahoo! Mail account that includes POP3 access and forwarding.

The ability to access Yahoo! Mail using an email reader program such as Outlook, Eudora, or Thunderbird is only available to customers of our premium Yahoo! Mail Plus service. To determine whether you have purchased this service, please visit the My Services page.

Do you have the box checked that says "Use same settings as incoming server" for authentication (it's under More Settings). If so, remove the check and it should work just fine. And mine used port 465. Also, choose SSL from the drop down box underneath that box (Use the following type of encrypted connection

If you have att dsl, you need to use a different port besides 25.

        2009 Chevy Tahoe LTZ

        2011 GMC Terrain SLT2

2010 Polaris Ranger RZR S Orange Madness

He must already pay for it because he has it receiving and sending through Outlook 2007 on his desktop. He got a new laptop and that's what I'm trying to fix. The settings all match exactly from the desktop to the laptop but it still won't send.

I did because the desktop did. I unchecked it and tried 46 and 587 both with and without SSL encryption specified, still won't send.

          It's AT&T U-verse, no longer trying 25.

I don't know what I changed, but now I got a new error that pointed here: http://www.att.com/esupport/article....id=unxqa90Kn-3, so I made a new address, verified it and now it's sending.

          I appreciate the help.
