Memorial Photo and Audio presentation help

I need to make a photo type presentation with some audio playing in the background for my Dad's memorial service Friday. Photos need to be scanned and probably sized and manipulated and audio I want is on my itunes. I'm PC and not mac and have Windows Movie Maker which I used before for this process many years ago. I recall it taking many hours and was a beating.

If I recall it was a royal PITA to get the audio in a format I need for the app.

Any other options (apps) or people who do this professional and can turn it around in a day?

The last one I did was in adobe premiere. Not sure if you can get a free trial or not. Though it has a learning curve.

If you have power point, it can be done there as well.

Freemake has software that will easily make a slideshow with music. And you can choose from a larger variety of output video formats than what's available in Windows Movie Maker. http://www.freemake.com/how_to/how_t...hoto_slideshow

All of their software has a real user friendly interface.

My cousin and I used a free program called Memories for TV. It was pretty easy to set it all up.
