I want to play, but my PC stutters on even the lowest settings.

got it on my ps4, but I suck.
I need a fighting stick to have any kind of chance, I fumble over the controls when using the ds4.

I, uh, "picked it up" from this site. Played through story and beat it. The gameplay is better than MK9, but the story wasn't as good. i think it's because they introduced SOO MANY new characters, so the backstory was hard to get.

MK9 would be a good one to play, since it basically covers MK1, 2, and 3 in an attempt to retell the story and move on. It even covers things that were mentioned in the games, and only "lore" through articles about the game and interviews with the creator. That might be one of the reasons I like the story much better. It explained everything.

This one picked up where it left off, but also jumped ahead a bit into the future.

It's amazing... after 20+ years, cheap-shotting with scorpion still works.

Haven't played an MK game since Shaolin Monks on the original Xbox. It was like Double Dragon on every awesome drug to ever exist. This one looks pretty damned cool too.

I'd say the same thing I said to Roliath, play mk9 first. it's cheap enough to grab, and the game will actually make sense. If you jump to mkx, you'll have no fucking clue what's going on.

The days of fighting games that are just a 10+ person fight up a ladder for a non-cannon ending are over. These past two games (and Netherrealm Studios other game Injustice: Gods Among Us) have PHENOMENAL story modes that progress you through a story by changing the character you play as.
