      Regardless, shouldn't it just show up in their inventory? Or i'm guessing if you gift it to an email they have to "redeem" it and tie it to their steam account of choice?

      I've never gifted to an email address either.

        It read as it would send them a link on how to redeem it on steam.

        I'd imagine something similar to how humblebundle.com works.
