  • Android Email Lag

So I switched from Apple to Android recently, and the only thing I dislike is the email. Reason for is because my emails don't come in instant as they would when I had my iPhone. I would have to keep refreshing constantly and it gets pretty damn annoying, any fix to this? Sorry, not a phone or computer geek.

    Thanks,
    Dirty.

You said Andoid. Hehe. There should be a setting to update every so often. I keep my on manual as not to drain battery power.

So, it gives me the option to Sync Manual, 15mins,30mins- 1hr, 2hrs, etc.

its currently set on 15mins and still slow as balls.

Can you do push vs fetch? I've never been a fan of the native android email, its one of those things that has always worked better on iOS IMO.

I've never used the "email" app, always only Gmail.

Even the "mail" app that's on my phone has push.

My work phone is Android (Galaxy S4) and emails hit my phone 2-3 seconds before my computer. I will acknowledge that it is via an Exchange server, so I'm guessing that helps, but it is through the phone's factory email app with sync set at "push".

For my personal email accounts I just use the provider's apps (gmail and yahoo mail).

It may be a provider limitation. Google inbox and gmail are both push capable to my knowledge.

This. And it works great with no lag.

I might have to try this, and keep all the emails in one folder.

Also, anyone have issues with Pandora with the controls in the lock screens? I have to unlock my phone every time I want to "skip" a song or "thumbs up" a song.

Update Pandora and restart your phone. It doesn't do that to me.
