Greetings,
I have a family member in the sticks that is remodeling a house and getting dish network installed for TV/Inet. I know for sure 2 RG6 cables need to be run to a splitter. However, I noticed a lot of other homes in the area have 2 dishes up for some reason. In the past, I could have sworn that a single dish/LNB supported both Inet and TV. However, I was curious if they now do 2 dishes - 1 for Inet and 1 for TV? If so, would 4 RG6 runs need to be done or is it a single dish with 2 RG6 runs?
We tried calling dish network, but all they wanted was a commitment to a contract - so any research failed there. Google searches are not real clear at this time on how it all works. Any input is appreciated.
Internal cabling is a non-issue, just going to do coax and Ethernet to all the rooms. It'll be ready for legacy or modern connections either way then.
