Is this a stand alone story line? Or does it follow previous batman arkham games?

It will follow Arkham City. Origins really screwed over the timeline. Origins was good, but was lacking in polish, this one on the other hand looks incredible. Just hope that the driving mechanics are good.

I can't help but feel like batman would be a more effective superhero if he would just kill some of these motherfuckers.

If it looks that good on the PS4, though...

I was being sarcastic, hence the [emoji14]
Consoles are incredible these days and imho, putting the hurt on pc gaming. This precludes the old school and purist, of which I'm neither. I'm of the mindset that if I can get a good gaming experience without having to chase the next best piece of hardware, then I'm golden.

Sadly, the only comparison we can make is from a game that is ported to pc from a console build, so we aren't capable of seeing what the PC can really do in a side by side. Consoles are holding back pc development. For the launch price of either the ps4 or xbone, you could have built a pc that exceeds its capabilities.

Lets see an xbone or ps4 run Star Citizen, or Crysis 3 (which came out February 2013) at max levels, or even at medium settings past 30fps. They can't. it's not like when the 360/ps3 hit the market, and they were meeting or exceeding most computers. That was a different time, and even I played on those consoles a lot because of it.

I've got both (due to exclusives, those fuckers), but it's turned in to a dlna/netflix device for me while I play on pc.

When dx12 hits the Xbone, it's gonna be a huge thing for the gfx.

While it will be, it'll be even more of a huge thing for pc's, and modern gpu's. Not something 2+ years old already.

Consoles are easier to access, and easier to use, and harder to pirate on. PC's suffer in game quality because of that.

$400 can get you a pc build that will exceed the quality of console, hook directly to your tv with hdmi, provide FREE ONLINE gaming (in most cases, mmo's are a different animal), several high quality free games, and when you connect your xbox controller with something like this, you can get a better experience with many console ports.

                            Damn peasants make us suffer.
