    World of Tanks

    Anyone playing this yet? Its in a "closed" beta, but you can just sign up and it will get you an access code within a day. Pretty fun game, all free.

    Downloaded and tried it out last night. Not very good but I was tired I will give it another try today.

      It sucks at first when you have shit light tanks, but after a week or so you'll be in a nice medium like an M4 or equivalent and it gets quite fun.

              So explain the whole gold, experience, research, thing to me... I'm a bit baffled by that. What do I exchange/build up to research better engines? What new tank should I buy? Which ones should I not waste my money on?

                Gold (for now) comes automatically, I think 125-150 a day. In the release version it will be purchased with cash (not bad for an otherwise free game)

                Gold can purchase a premium membership (+50% xp/round), premium ammo, buy elite tanks, trade for credits and exchange experience.

                Silver buys tanks, ammo and standard items

                Experience lets you upgrade

                You can earn "free experience" by buying an "elite" tank and playing it. The experience you earn with it can be converted with gold to be "free" XP and allow you to use the XP on any tank you want, instead of typical only being able to use the XP on the tank you earn it with.

                Really just explore the tanks. I went US and mediums.

                  What importance does the radio operator have? Doing well so far, averaging 3 kills per w/ Arty.

                    Radio range allows you to communicate your position to others as well as the enemies you spot to others.
