  • Gaems - reviews/opinions???

One of my boys is a huge gamer and wants a Gaems Vanguard (https://gaemspge.com/product/gaems-vanguard/) for Christmas. We have 3 gamers in our house and only 1 TV in the game room, so he's always having to share time with his brother and me and it would be pretty badass for roadtrips. I know it's expensive, but it'll be from us, grandparents, etc. IF we end up getting it for him. Most of the reviews I've read have been pretty positive, but I'm curious whether any of y'all have played on one and/or have any reviews/opinions. So???

The GAEMS Vanguard “Personal Gaming Environment” is a well-made, eminently functional solution for those gamers that want to take their console play experience on the road.

      "HIGHS

      Sharp 19-inch LED screen
Impressive sound from the system's stereo speakers
Very effectively pares down console gaming to its lightest-weight basics

      LOWS

Subpar clasps don't sit flush with the case and pop up too easily with incidental contact
A little showier than an expensive case meant to house an expensive machine should be
      "

Thanks. I'd totally forgotten that Drift0r did that review on them.

            Why is it gay?

Because you can get a much larger LCD or maybe even LED TV for the same price? If you want it for travel, that's one thing, but if you want it just so your kid has another screen to play on, then there are better options.

I understand what you're saying, but there really isn't any available space in our house to put another TV. Plus, we do a fair amount of travel. I have a hook-up at Game Stop and ended up getting it for just over their cost - $255.

That's not bad. Keep an eye out for overheating. Xboxes like to do that when they're NOT enclosed in anything, let alone in that box.
