I tried to set up Google voice on my new phone so I could see the voicemail instead of listening to them but it doesn't seem to be working. I went from a Samsung to an LG with the same number and provider. When I click Google voice for the service, it says "Couldn't retrieve and save current forwarding number settings. Switch to the new provider anyway?" If I click yes to change anyway, it says "Forwarding number change unsuccessful. Please contact your carrier if this problem persists." Halp!

You'll need root to mod a setting to make it work on carrier branded LG, iirc.Comment

They stopped using voice for that its weird, you still have to have it installed but everything goes thru hangouts now have you tried that?

Says LG g3 isn't on the compatible list.
