So I picked up a Galaxy S5 (and I have some issues with it I'll likely post up later) and although I loved the vanilla version of Android OS and the quicker OS updates, I really wanted a removable battery and external memory. So I sold my Nexus 5 on eBay and the guy is saying he cannot get his AT&T SIM card to work with it. The phone worked fine three weeks ago and all I did was did a reset of the phone. The only thing I could think of was to tell him to get a new SIM card. Any ideas on this?

What exactly does he mean when he says the SIM card doesn't work with it? It might be an older SIM card that doesn't work with the newer phone, or his plan might have a restriction on just changing it in and out of phones (my super old AT&T plan had this). If your listing said "as-is" then it's not your problem anymore, but I understand you wanting to help him out.
Just tell him to go to the AT&T store. Not like it was reported stolen or anything, so he shouldn't have any issues at the store if he's telling you the truth about everything.

So all he told me is that the Nexus 5 would not read his SIM card. I'm hoping that is all it is, that he needs a new SIM card. I never got a chance to re-use my old SIM card as the Nexus 5 was my first phone to use a Micro-SIM and the Galaxy S5 came with a Micro-SIM pre-installed and it was already setup for my phone number when it arrived.
Hopefully I'll hear back from him that a new SIM fixed it. Thanks for help.

If the phone doesn't work at all there is a problem. I'd the issue is data/lte related, just tell him to go to an att store. They will probably swap the simwww.hppmotorsports.com
