have a nokia 1520 with windows 8.1. Always snappy, a 20mp camera. I believe there is 300k apps now most big ones are there now so you can find most of them now. Ive had all OS's and this has been my fav. Also cortana is pretty awesome and one thing I like now its that the os its being updated pretty often with new features.

It's my job to be tech savy, yet I don't have a bunch of apps downloaded to my phone. The phone's primary functions are to make calls and answer email when I am traveling, but I do have a mobile banking app that I use occasionally, and Facebook purely for convenience when I don't want to pull out the laptop or iPad.

I've got an Android currently purely out of curiosity to see what the hype was about, and my old Windows phone was was better for managing email and contacts through Outlook.

I've been on one since WP7...started with a 900, then a 920 for a while, and now a 925. For me it's a no-brainer, the phones are free once a year, and the way it integrates with my job is impossible to match on any other platform. We actually have an app that is an employee portal, where I can access many of our internal tools when I'm out and about on my phone. It makes it a lot easier being able to do things like approve expense reports, upload trip reports, access our booking & travel tools, etc, etc. Besides that, the damned thing just works....never any issues with it, and the battery life is outstanding.

The downside is indeed lack of apps, but they have added a ton in the past year or so, and all of the mainstream stuff is there....like Pandora, Spotify, Facebook, Weather, Traffic, fuel, etc, etc. What bugs me are the one-off things that are always developed for Android and iPhone, but nothing for WP....for example, I recently purchased a fairly high end Yamaha receiver that also has a really cool phone app to control it over the home network...but of course it's only on Droid & Apple.

I've never had an Android but always been intrigued by them....especially this new S5. I had an iPhone before the WP7, and for me it was just ok...never understood all the hype. My wife and daughter both live on their iPhones.

My brother got one a couple of years ago and said that it's the only smart phone that he's never had a single issue with and he'll be sticking with them.
