Actually, the iOs team was really easy to work with, the android team cost more because it took longer. You're right though, its never apples to apples comparison.

The only negative I found was changes for iOs applications took longer to push through because they have to be QA'd by apple before they go live on the store. Android was much more casual about their deployment process.

Eclipse was crap. I dropped it in favor of IntelliJ about a year ago and it's much, much better.

I meant more the language used, though. Objective-C is a pain to learn and use, and if you don't use it regularly, easy to forget (and if you don't develop for OS X or iOS regularly, you don't use Objective-C regularly). Java is used all over and it's similar enough to C/C++ and C# that you can switch back and forth without running into much trouble. Maybe Swift will make it easier, though.

We just moved to IntelliJ too, I always hated Eclipse.

I'm on a regular s5 with a shitty speck case. No complaints at all. Screw the s5 axtive. There's no advantage and doesn't it come with a lower quality camera? No 4k video?

I went from a Note 2 to an Iphone 5s because it was free. At first I hated it, but I've grown to like it's simplistic nature. I don't really cell phones for more than calls/pics/porn.

I have an iPhone for work. If I wasn't tied to using that piece of shit iTunes, then I'd be more open to having an iPhone as my personal phone. But I can't stand how difficult they make everything. So much easier just to plug in my s3, open the folder, and do what I want to do without having to do some fag sync process. Fuck the iPhone.

You put music on your phone? I thought everyone just streamed music these days.

I switched to iphone from android this year and I will not be going back, except for battery life and no LED indicator to show a message without turning on the screen I like the iphone a lot more. Picked up a mophie to fix the battery life, which I really like because I can just take it off if I'm going out and want a smaller phone.

No, not really. But if I want to throw a file, say a movie to watch later, its easy with android. Itunes makes it a total pain in the ass.

iTunes suck balls, but after owning a samsung s4 only four days and the inner led screen broke, I went back to an iPhone that's lasted years with zero issues....3GS baby! Then I upgraded to a 5.

OS is one thing that I'm flexible on and would be happy with either android or apple. Build quality and reliability though I don't skimp on. That Galaxy lasted only four days with the exact same use/abuse as a 3GS suffered and survived for five years.
