Need a favor, looking for something

I bought a Samsung SSD to put in my laptop, but the laptop is designed for 9.5mm drives and the Samsung SSD is 7mm. It did not come with an adapter plate and the laptop I use doesn't use a caddy or screws to hold the drive in place. Does anyone have an adapter that I can have or buy?

I have only found one online, and it's only $2.99 but I don't trust the shady website it's sold on.

Is that a little plastic ring that goes on the SSD to make it thicker? If so, I may have one that came with my Kingston you can have, but I'm in stephenville.

Well crap. I had that ring, but since the macbook pro didn't need it... I fear I chucked it.

Let me make sure I didn't pack rat it into my hard drives drawer.

It was from a Kingston 256 SSD.
