The gray one, will it make my internet connection faster, over using the cheap black modem that comes with the DSL service?

what's wrong with the black one? I have a speedstream too and haven't had any issue. 3-4 years so far...knock on wood. I have it hooked up to a linksys.

nothing wrong with the black one, was just wondering if the grey one was an upgrade.

If you're capped at a certain speed on dsl, that's all you're going to get. Another modem isn't going to increase your speed. That's if you're not having issues with modem now. Other than that, you're good.
