  • Excel guru's need help

I am working on a spreadsheet for work. It is a production work sheet, I have data at the beginning and the end that I need to keep visible when printed. The sheet will track quarterly production by week. So what I want to do is, say we are now in Q3 for the year, I want to be able to print just the Q3 production and keep the data at the beginning and end of the worksheet.

So, 3 columns at the front need printed, and one column at the end needs printed, I need to be able to select/change the data that is printed in the middle.

Hopefully that isn't clear as mud

    Hide the middle columns.

Highlight the shit you don't want to see right now, right click, hide.

I hadn't though of that. However, I am hoping for a more user friendly solution, if one exists. It will be used by guys that are not exactly tech savvy

You can just highlight the columns/rows you want to show and print only those.

Or add another tab that pulls and displays only those values and print that...

I hadn't thought about the tabs. I think that will be my best bet.

Pivot table on a new sheet. Don't forget to sort your data accordingly, though.

Yes, tabs are the answer. That's the way I designed the spreadsheet for my company. Each month is a tab. All the data shares the same template. That way you can keep the formulas the same, and just change the sheet name. Makes things much easier.
