  • Website won't work on my network?

Just the other day I was on a website and now for some reason I can't access it on my home computer or home wi-fi? I know the site works b/c I can access it from my 4G Network on my phone.

Are you connecting to your own wifi router or the ISP router?

Try a seperate PC or can you access that site via your phone while connected to your wireless AP?

I've tried on my home pc, and using my wi-fi with no luck. If I use my phone's 4G though it works so I know it's something with my network. This just started yesterday and I've never had any probs before with it?

When I try to diagnose the connection problem it gives me the following:

          Cannot communicate with the website.
Network diagnostics pinged the remote host but did not receive a response

Sounds like your router is blocking the website.

I'm guessing it is your PC - which is why I asked if it works on your phone while on the wireless network. Or another PC.

If you validate that, start with malwarebytes and go from there.

I am assuming you are using a your home pc, and then trying on your phone via wifi and it isn't connecting.

                It is your router.

Correct. Makes no sense though, for years I've never had a problem with any website until now.

Home routers don't block web sites by themselves.

Your IP may have been blocked by the web site. This could be your individual IP, if you had an infected host on your network trying to hit their site with some malicious(looking) payload.

Or someone on your ISP block has this occur and they just blocked the entire subnet.

Try to ping the site from a command prompt, does it get DNS resolution or ping return?

If this is a service you pay money for, hit up their support with your source IP (www.ipchicken.com) so they can help troubleshoot.

Wait, so you DID try with you mobile phone utilizing your wireless (not 4G) with the same issue?

Yea, something is up with the ISP blocking that site or the router was corrupted some how.

I can't get on the website using my wifi network or home PC, using my phone 4g yes but not my network.
