We should be closing on our new house in a few weeks and I'm starting to plan what I'm going to do about our TV service. After running through quotes for Time Warner and U-verse, I have found that to get set-top boxes for where we plan to have TV's, it will cost a small fortune in monthly fees.
I've started looking into tv tuners like the InfiniTV and HDHomerun Prime which uses Cablecards but where I'm needing advice is what to use at the actual set.
From what I've read so far, Windows Media Center Extender apps seem to work best which is a no brainer for my 2 tv's which will have an xbox. Now I just need some reasonably cost solutions for my other sets that are user friendly. I don't mind if things are a little buggy and not intuitive but I need it to be user friendly for my wife and other house guests if I am going to make this work long term.
