  • Anyone with T-Mobile

Tired of lack of 4g on Metro, thinking of switching to MetroGSM (T-mobile)

Who here has t mobile, and what are your thoughts? Do you still need to unlock AT&T phones to get them to work on t mobile?

I like it. Coverage is spotty sometimes but it's gotten better since I first switched. A good deal IMO

It fucking sucks. I randomly get voice mails throughout the day without ever having missed calls. I get ZERO reception at my house or work. ( live in north Fort Worth - work in Coppell)

I practically have to be connected to Wifi to view webpages at any reasonable rate regardless of weather I'm on 4G or not.

It sucked for me too. Random voicemails. Anything out side of the dfw sucks for signal. . No internet inside the house. . Switch to Sprint. . It's slightly better

Going from Metropcs (sprint towers) to T-Mobile will be a pretty big jump in quality.
If you're already used to metropcs, then you can only go up in quality picking from tmo, at&t, verizon.

I've had three phones on t-mo since feb (s4, nexus5, and note3), and each one did surprisingly well.

I haven't left the d/fw area yet, so I can't speak to that.

They are now, but they use different networks. Metro PCS uses cdma, and mostly sprint towers.

oh, for whatever reason I thought metro pcs all switched to tmobile service.

Tmobile rocks...only cell carrier I've had since I got my first cell phone in 2000/01. Never had any issues to speak about.

Been on TMob since December and no issues here. I just spent the past week in Denver with no issues except for in the mountains where no one had cell service.

Ok sooooo I hated it at first.
Like wanting to kid a child in the face in front of a nun at church hate. Had it a month and yes it was slower than Verizon and was useless when at work but service went to complete shit after a month the area I lived.

Fed up I went to the store I signed up at and complained and was hoping for a smart ass but the two there was stupid nice and went waaaaaaay out of their way to find out the problem.

Come to find out three towers were down jn the Rhome area and they didn't know until a week before I came in to complain.

They informed me not much will happen until they can get the towers up and running and if I still had problems then we can see about adding a signal booster in my house free of charge.

Since then towers are fixed and signal is pretty good. Can get online at work and everything. At home tho I'm still having problems. So I'll be seeing about that signal booster.

Overall I think I'll stick with them at least till the end of the year. I've learned about alot of improvements and upgrades to their network and think they will be pretty decent by then.

I drove to Orlando last September and through Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Missouri in March. I lost signal in the middle of nowhere before my brother in law's ATT phone lost signal, but not by more than a few miles.

Stay away from TbagMobile. I had issues with sprint and left them after 18 years for TbagMobile and few months ago and already changed to verizon.

If you travel at all driving TbagMobile is the worse service I've ever used. I going to gladly pay the price to leave Tbag.

T-Mobile? You mean Sprint.. I mean Softbank USA? Yea, they are finally getting bought out. So you too can enjoy the wonderful support that Sprint provides.
