I just got an HTC One M8, and I need to know what some good apps are for music players on the Android systems. Something that would basically let me load and play music, like an iPod.

I've got a bluetooth setup for my Shoei helmet, and I want to be able to listen to music going downy the road without using data.

Or would it be better just to buy an iPod with bluetooth capability?

There should already be a "music" app installed. Not sure of what HTC installs with their Sense ui.

Putting music on it should be as simple as drag/drop like you would to another folder or to flashdrive. After doing that, the built-in music app should pick it up.

The music app that is on it works well and just sync it with your helmet and it will work fine. Also just drag and drop you music into a music file and it will find it and let you play it.

Google Play Music will play locally stored music.

Yeah same here, but I don't think the mobile app lets you search your own phones library does it?

No, but the stand alone Music apps that come on the phone will search. i keep a 64gig sd card with just music and pictures.
