I'm pretty pissed with ATT right now. This morning I tried to place my pre-order, but the site wouldn't allow me to click the "place your order" button. The last fucking click and it wouldn't go through. I first tried it with my office address where I want it shipped to, then after chatting with the online help, I tried it with my billing address- still no go. The girl in the online chat told me to call the sales line and they will take care of it.
I called the 800# and was on the phone with them for about an hour and they couldn't figure it out. Their suggestion was to try ordering it online! After explaining to them for the 3rd time that I had tried that already they said just go to a retail store. I explained as nicely as possible that it isn't very convenient for me to go to the retail store, wait for them to get to me(which my experience has been ~45 minutes) and then maybe getting some resolution.
I've been on the road all day working, but at lunch I decided to try one more time to order it online - and when I looked at it that time the extra $100 discount was not there. When I left the site it popped up with a survey asking about my visit. Normally I just close them, but considering the circumstances I went into as much detail as possible to explain my experience on their site today.
BTW, The extra $100 discount was a "upgrade advantage" - I looked it up as to why it showed up in the first place. It is described as a loyalty bonus for having the account for an extended period of time (13 years here). I've never had any major problem with ATT in the past, but this actually has me considering a switch. My main issue with other providers has always been coverage in remote areas, which I frequent with my job.
