Charter has been very good for us. Started out way back when with the 3 meg package, and have stayed long enough to be upgraded to 30 megs. Just got a letter last week saying the 60 meg package is ready to go shortly too. As of now, I routinely see speeds well in excess of the 30. Hoping the 60 works just as good.

I don't have any issues with u verse. But I have never actually had issues with any high speed provider outside of a pole getting hit or something of that nature knocking everything out. I've had charter, time warner, and u verse.07 f250-family truckster

My charter hasn't gone down for more than 5 minutes in the last 10 years and I've been moving 100+ gigs of traffic a month through it for months now with no complaints.
With AT&T it wasn't nearly as fast and I would go through a couple of modems a year.
Streaming through my Verizon phone is faster than either but it's way more expensive!

AT&T (u-verse dsl)
Verizon (fios)

Time Warner
You can't really pick one over the other due to local franchise agreements.
I'm on Time Warner myself and have no complaints.
