I picked up 2 3 TB drives for $114 each. I agree, 6 mo. from now they'll be $60 each.

Shit I remember ( dating myself ) when 10 meg drives were the shit and everyone said " you'll never fill that up" . lol

He's actually a movie collector. He has a library of thousands of movies. Why? I don't know, but we never run out of stuff to watch at their place

My 8.1 tablet has 64 gigs and it's what I use every day, coincidentally that's how much space my cell phone has. My laptop that's pretty much used as a media server now has a 64 gig SSD drive and a 1.5 tb regular drive.

At my house though I have 13.5 tb of storage available between servers and external drives. I could plug them all into my homeserver if I wanted to. With Amazon Prime, Netflix and Dish on Demand I don't really see a point though.

I have more than that sitting on a NAS I keep in my laundry room..

I have 6TB, which I use to store my BR's on, which I stream to my Boxee in the LR. About 150 BR's (uncompressed, movie only) and about 30 regular DVD's which are kids movies for the little ones. About 80% full.

Plan on building a separate media pc for that only later down the road.
