I actually haven't gotten around to it yet but need to so I can get full access to a few apps I use like Titanium BackUp. Just hadn't been in so much of a rush because the phone is working so good and doesn't have the bloatware installed like my last Galaxy did.
Here's a good thread to start. Might do it tonight just need to backup some stuff before doing so.

If your pc doesn't see the phone, you don't have the drivers installed. http://www.android.gs/download-and-i...-adb-fastboot/

Well I plugged in the phone first and let it install the drivers. Then enable debugging and let it do more drivers. Then I opened up the nexus root toolkit and try to start backing up some stuff and it says it can't find my phone. I read in some threads sometimes it was an issue with old drivers from other phones etc so I went in and deleted those, still nothing. Also according to some videos I saw once I open the toolkit and my phone is connected to the laptop I should get some type of prompt on my phone to show my laptop access to it. It's supposed to give you an RSA number I think. My phone never does that

I don't remember any RSA number showing up but I know when I plug it into my PC it shows up in Explorer as a drive. Don't bother with the Toolkit till you get this resolved first. I want to say when I plugged mine in it automatically downloaded the drivers so I do not believe I had to download anything separately.
What version of Windows are you running and do you have a different computer you can try this on?

Unplug the phone, then uninstall the device (phone) driver in device manager. It most likely will have an exclamation mark next to the icon. Then try plugging the phone back in to see if it will reinstall the drivers. You might also need to change the USB connection type in the phone settings. I had this happen on a Pantech with ICS.Last edited by LS1Goat; 01-25-2014, 06:52 PM.

I had the same problem with different phones. I've found that manually finding and installing drivers found from XDA or manufacturer websites work the best. Also try different USB ports.
