My phone got completely locked last night. Apple says they can wipe it and allow me to start over or I can go with a third party software to recover it.

They all vary in price. Which one has been successful?

Are there any other options to recover everything. Contacts are the most important. Photos, then text messages.


Any help will be greatly appreciated.

everytime you sync your phone to iPoons it makes a backup.

if you used their cloud service, then it's backed up over the air. there is an option for pictures too.

if you use gmail/google as an exchange service, then your contacts probably synced to google contacts.

if you are jailbroken and your phone isnt fried, then you should be able to use a third party tool to browse the file system.

beyond that, i dont know how to help you.

I was able to extract a large amount of my data using Mobisave from easeUS.com for $70.
I'm in the process of wiping my phone and then I'll be crossing my fingers in hopes that the data will make it back to the phone uncorrupted.

Interesting, I installed the free version to see if it recovered anything off an ipad, nothing.

When to uninstall and it offered this.
