  • Computer Back up question

Looking to back up my computer and am not sure what program to use? What Im wanting to do is do like the Iphone does with Iphone where it makes a copy of your harddrive basically and if it were to crash it would be able to "recreate" your computer on the new drive.

Is that possible? Im going to get a 2TB back up drive but not sure how to do this? any ideas?

What kind of computer? I have a time capsule and all my MacBooks do snapshot daily images, automatically and wirelessly.

macrium reflect is free and can be scheduled. it does full and incremental backups.

if you have seagate/western digital drive, acronis true image is free for you too.

This is what I'm buying for backups and cloud storage. WD My Cloud 2TB @ Frys $150

I just wrote a simple batch file to backup specified directories to my network drive. Just double click it and forget. Or set it up using task scheduler. For disk cloning, I use Acronis.
