I have a Logitech Revue and it sucks, my TV also has the full suite of Google apps built in but HBO GO and Dish Anywhere don't work on it, they are available and installed but have some reliability issues. I just ended up using the HDMI out on my laptop and use the mouse as a remote control.
I subscribe to Dish at my house in DFW and sling it to my apartment in Temple, it actually works pretty well. The dish on demand stuff usually has the Hulu logo and streams at full HD. Using the DVR or slinging live TV though can get jittery depending on network congestion.

Im debating on the roku 3 from costco for $79. The roku 2 can be had for cheap on ebay now as well but there are a few different styles and its a bit confusing. I also looked at the apple one. It still sells for $99. The same price as when it came out a couple of years ago. Keep in mind these have to be plugged in w/a ethernet cable. The wifi boxes are expensive.

The only thing it struggles with its raw dvd rips(vob/videots)... It's been one of the better home entertainment investments I've made.

So I ended up going with the ouya and after the first night with it I can say as long as the machine doesn't break down ill easily live without cable. Every tv show I typed in popped up with this thing and pretty much every movie. Only cost $100 and took less than 10 min from opening the box to having xbmc set up and watching movies in hd.
