  • In dire need of an old ISO

Do any of you guys have, or have a way of getting, a win2k3 non-r2 x64 dell oem ISO? Client's terminal server went down, trying to restore them as quickly as possible as a band-aid until they upgrade in Q1 of next year. It has to be that specific ISO or disc, this server is being a bitch about restoring with anything else. I already have the key taken from the COA sticker on the server.

TIA for anything you may or may not have.

Dell not helping you out? We don't use Dell servers here so I couldn't help you if I wanted to. I'll ask my other buddy.

    Has to be dell oem?

Has to be Dell OEM, and Dell will not talk to us unless we pay for support. Don't want to go that way if we don't have to.

Right now I have spare desktops set up for the consultants to remote into using DHCP reservations and port forwarding through the Cisco ASA, but that's not a solution, just a work-around.

I'm trying to get them to buy a 2008 R2 or 2012 terminal server license and set up a VM for them as the permanent solution, or buy vpn licenses and pay us to set up a VPN so that their consultants don't have to use a terminal server. I mean they own an ASA for fuck's sake.

I can check my CD Case Of Holding when I get home. I have a number of old CD's and might have one.

            What flavor? Standard?

Dell sales used to sell media kits without serials. Might be worth checking that instead of calling their enterprise support.

Just curious, can you just do the install without OEM disks? Not a server guy, but have pulled off some retarded stuff using separate driver disks and all that crap.

Dell's usually arent too bad. If you use the Dell open manage disk to kick off the install it will make the driver install easier but you should be ok with any win 2k3 disk if it will take the key you have.
