Well you'll notice a difference, but I'm not sure 4k projectors are coming out as soon as the TV's. I just know that when I watch a Plasma/LCD TV too close it starts hurting my eyes after a few minutes. 4K will only benefit people with very large TV's. I would assume that most people watch TV from 10+ feet away. Unless you're living in an apartment.

JVC has 2 consumer 4k projectors out now, and a 8k shift projector.

Sony has 3 consumer 4k projectors out now.

The bigger tv's 50" plus is where the most benefit of 4k is going to happen. A lot of computer gamers are using the 50" 4k's as computer monitors.

Any 60" plus will see an advantage for most anyone. In a year or two the 55-65" 4k's will be 2-3k, and I'm hoping the 80" plus will be $5-6k.
